Hello my dear brothers and sisters in Christ! Today we are continuing to read the book of John together! We will be reading chapter 2 where there is a wedding, a miracle, and more. I so love getting to do these studies with you. The Bible is so important to me and I want you to fall in love with God’s word and be a LIGHT!
Why the book of John?
The goal of the book of John is summed up in these verses:
Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
John 20:30-31
The book of John was written so that we may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. This book is written for us to be confident and BELIEVE! Believe in Jesus and who He is.

Read John 2:23-25
Jesus knows our hearts and what is inside of us. He doesn’t need man’s approval. Jesus knew himself, the reason why he was sent, and that the Father was with Him. He didn’t need anyone to bear witness about Him or feel the need to prove himself. He was sure of his mission.
I think this is something for us to learn from. If there is something God has placed on your heart or a mission God has set before you and you have a calling on your life, then you don’t need man’s approval. You don’t need other people’s permission. You just need Jesus.
It is good to get counsel and pray over your decision. I think this is good and wise. But you must put what God says above what others say. What does God say? What has God placed before you?
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. —Matthew 10:28
In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I shall not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me? —Psalm 56:4
Listen to God. Obey His word. Do not fear people. For what can mere mortals/flesh/people do to me? I will not fear them. But I will worship and trust the LORD who can save my soul. I will remind myself to not be afraid.
