Adopted as children of God

Did you know there is an adoption symbol? It is a triangle intertwined with a heart. It stands for the child, birth parents, and adoptive parents connected by love (or to me, connected by Jesus).

You are adopted by God!

Hello friend and welcome to the Other World Podcast! We are currently doing a Bible study on the book of Ephesians. Today we are going to be reading through chapter 1 of Ephesians.

In Jesus we are adopted as children of God. What a gift! I have a heart for adoption and for children. My dream is to one day be able to adopt. I love any time adoption is brought up in the Bible. Especially how it relates to us as Christians—as children of God. Adopted through Jesus.

“For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God…”

—Romans 8:15-16

So grab your bible (or you can just listen to me read this chapter out—i'm using an ESV Bible), maybe grab a cup of coffee or tea and let’s read the Bible together!
