Dear friend,
Happy Sunday!
I thought it would be fun to start doing Sunday reflections or letters to you every once in a while. Today I wanted to share something I heard at church that really stood out to me. I hope you enjoy!

“God is not boring. You are boring.”
A common misconception I’ve heard from people and even Christians is that being a Christian is boring. You read the same book day by day. You do the same monotonous things. It’s boring.
WRONG
My pastor said it something like this:
Imagine you are standing on a cliff looking down on the clear blue waters of the lake below. You stand there on the edge. You stay there. You never jump.
You look down unmoving and stay there forever.
It is boring.
It is boring to stand around doing nothing.
But if you jump…well then that is when it becomes fun (or terrifying 😂).
Christianity can be like that.
If we stay in our comfort zone and don’t follow God’s will for our lives then life will be boring. Doing nothing is boring.
If we follow God’s will for our lives and take that leap of faith then I believe you will find joy and true fulfillment. God made you on purpose with a purpose. When you walk in His purpose for your life you will find out what God made you for.
“The more we let God take over, the more truly ourselves we become—because He made us.”
—C.S. Lewis
Will you take that leap of faith?
I’m so glad you addressed this, Moriyah. 💛
