The story behind the podcast
Welcome to The Other World Podcast! My name is Moriyah and I am so glad you are here! Imagine we are at a little book or coffee shop, sitting down and chatting about faith, stories and life. I want these episodes to feel like we are having a conversation at a coffee shop or over the phone. So be warned, there may be ramblings in the coming future.
Why the name? Why the other world? I was going back and forth between name ideas. I really wanted something that was personal to me and that connected to my faith which is the heart of this podcast. I want to share about life, the stories I’m loving, encouragement, what the Lord is teaching me. My prayer is that what I share here will all point to Jesus and to seeking after His kingdom. I want a name to reflect that.
A quote from my favorite author, C.S. Lewis comes to mind. It’s one of my favorites and says: “If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.”
Jesus himself spoke about this in John 18:36. “Jesus answered, ‘My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.’”
We were made for another world. As Christians we don’t belong to the world, we belong to Christ and His kingdom. This earth is not our true home. Our home is with Jesus and our Heavenly Father. As children of God we belong to the other world—God’s kingdom.
We belong to the other world.

Over here at The Other World Podcast we are a community of believers chasing after Jesus and His kingdom. As Christians we know that we don’t belong to this world, we belong to Christ and His kingdom. We belong to the other world.
