Episode 50
Hello my dear brothers and sisters in Christ! Today we are continuing to read the book of John together! We will be reading the second part of chapter 3 and psalm 8. I so love getting to do these studies with you. The Bible is so important to me and I want you to fall in love with God’s word and be a LIGHT!
Why the book of John?
The goal of the book of John is summed up in these verses:
Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
John 20:30-31
The book of John was written so that we may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. This book is written for us to be confident and BELIEVE! Believe in Jesus and who He is.

“He must increase, but I must decrease.”
Jesus must increase. God must increase. He must be greater than I am. I must decrease.
The more we are in the presence of God, the more natural this becomes. If you have ever been to the ocean and seen how vast the water goes out beyond anything we can see, it just goes and goes and goes, and you are standing there seeing how small you are. You can’t even see the end of it. You are so small. The ocean increases and you decrease. Or have you ever stood underneath the mountains? They stretch higher than anything you can reach. Bigger than the tallest buildings. They touch the clouds so far away. There you see how small you are. You are an ant, smaller than an ant, in the presence of these massive giants. How small are you? You don’t know until you are around something bigger, taller, and stronger than you.
The same is with God. The more you are in His word, the more you know His character, His love, His mercy, His justice, and who He is. The larger He becomes. The more you see how small you are. How great God’s love for us is.
What is man that is He mindful of us? What is man that He cares for us?
